The Dreaded Grove
A 3D Flash site promoting The Dreaded Grove, a haunt in Springville, Utah. From which all proceeds will benefit the Rocky Mountain Candlelighters, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families with children suffering from cancer. The site was created using the Matt Maxwell 3D Engine.

Artist's Statement
For The Dreaded Grove I wanted to create a fully interactive environment that captured the essence of the haunt. Using the Matt Maxwell 3D Engine I was able to create an environment that the user could explore. With the mixed use of sound effects and a untraditional navigation system I was able to disorient the user. I also incorporated hand drawn artwork, donated by Andrew Ehninger and Craig Secrist. All of this helped to create the mysterious effect of being lost in a haunted grove. |
Artist's Bio
Throughout my whole life, I have been captivated with interactive design. By the age of 12, I was fluent in HTML and beginning to explore the creation of artwork for the web. Once in college I was introduced to Flash, and have been enthralled with it ever since. I have been currently developing my expertise by working with a Salt Lake City-based advertising firm, Richter7.
