HELP with making a menu [URGENT]

hi...this is my first post since i have onli registered 5mins ago lol ^^

i was wondering if anybody have or know any tutorials on how to make menus similar to this: www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Interactivity/Non-Butt-Adam_Lem-909/index.php
the ones that i'm lookin for are ones wif arrows when mouse rollover it starts scrolling (the tut above starts scrollin wen mouse is positioned to the edge)and does anybody know any tutorials on how to make the vertical version of this (instead of left and right)? this is very important since its for an project
( help or tuts similar to this type of menu would great be appreciated)
